At Port Jeff Jiu Jitsu, we keep things real — no ego, no nonsense. You’ll train under experienced black belt instructors who’ve spent years studying the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
We focus on both Gi and No-Gi training, giving you the full picture of how Jiu-Jitsu works — whether you’re looking to learn self-defense, compete, or just find a new challenge.
Our goal is simple: help everyday people learn a skill that changes lives.
Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most effective and practical martial arts ever created. It teaches control, patience, and problem-solving under pressure. You’ll learn how to use technique — not strength — to handle bigger, stronger opponents.
Plus, it’s an incredible workout. You’ll build real-world strength, cardio, and mental focus — without the boredom of a treadmill.

This is a ParLearn the art of leverage, control, and precision through traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training.
In our Gi classes, you’ll wear the kimono — learning grips, throws, and submissions that build balance, timing, and patience. Each session focuses on real-world technique that works for both self-defense and competition.
Our Gi program follows a structured belt system, with detailed instruction from experienced black belt coaches who teach the same principles used in IBJJF tournaments and by top athletes worldwide. Whether you’re training to compete or just to grow, Gi Jiu-Jitsu builds discipline, focus, and confidence on and off the mats.agraph Font

Our No-Gi program brings a faster pace and modern style to your training.
Instead of the kimono, you’ll train in rash guards and shorts — learning grips, transitions, and submissions that rely on body control, speed, and technique.
No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is the style seen in ADCC, NAGA, and professional grappling events. You’ll learn positional strategy, wrestling-based takedowns, leg locks, and escapes while building strength and mobility.
These classes are perfect for athletes who love a challenge, MMA students, or anyone looking to round out their grappling skills.aragraph Font

Our Kids Jiu-Jitsu program gives children the tools to grow strong — physically and mentally.
We split classes by age and experience, teaching the fundamentals of balance, coordination, and respect in a fun, positive setting.
Little Ninjas (Ages 3–4): Parent-and-me class focused on movement, listening, and basic skills.
Juniors (Ages 5–7): Builds confidence, discipline, and teamwork through basic Jiu-Jitsu drills.
Youth Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 8–12): Introduces real techniques, self-defense, and healthy competition in a safe, encouraging environment.
Our kids learn focus, respect, and resilience — lessons that carry far beyond the mats. Many go on to compete in local tournaments like NAGA and Grappling Industries, but every child leaves class proud of what they accomplished.
We’ve been part of the Port Jefferson Station martial arts scene for years through our main location, Fusion MMA & Kickboxing. Our students include parents, teachers, nurses, first responders, and local athletes — people who just wanted something real to train in.
We’re proud to be a part of this community and to share the art that’s helped so many of us become stronger both on and off the mats.

In Gi Jiu-Jitsu, you wear a kimono and use grips on your opponent’s clothing for control and technique. No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is faster and more dynamic — you train without the uniform, relying on body movement, leverage, and timing. Both are taught at Port Jeff Jiu Jitsu so you can develop a complete skill set.
Not at all. Most people who join are complete beginners. Our classes are structured so you’ll learn at your own pace — step by step — with experienced coaches and a supportive team.
If you’re trying a Gi class, wear comfortable clothes like a t-shirt and shorts or leggings — we’ll provide a loaner Gi for your trial. For No-Gi, wear a rash guard or athletic top with shorts that don’t have pockets or zippers.
Absolutely. Jiu-Jitsu teaches real control and escapes that work in real-world situations. It also builds strength, mobility, and endurance — giving you a great workout without needing weights or machines.
We start as young as 3 years old with our Little Ninjas program. Classes are split by age group — 3–4, 5–7, and 8–12 — so every child learns at their own level in a fun and safe way. Kids build coordination, focus, and confidence while learning self-discipline and respect.
